TECHNICAL TRANSLATION in a few words...

A priori, translation is a simple operation; so simple that you will often think: "we've got someone in the department who speaks good English, Spanish, Swedish, or even an English person, a Spaniard, or a Swede, who will be able to translate the document".

And indeed, the English man, Spaniard or Swede concerned will certainly translate the document; a good course in a foreign language will definitely help to interpret a document; more importantly, a French technician will certainly be much better acquainted with the technical terms in English than any native English speaker who does not work in the sector or
who has no knowledge of the corporate language of the company concerned.

But what about other languages? What about a 200-page report that needs to be translated in
ten days or even a mail that has to be translated urgently?
What about a commercial document that needs to be catchy? How can you be sure that you will receive a quality translation that is completed on time?

This is where translation professionals come in - they can add their expertise to that of professionals who operate and/or communicate internationally - often under tight deadlines and with the precision that you are well aware of.



Translation is said to be "technical" as opposed to so-called "literary" translation for reasons that are easy to understand.

In addition, all translators are specialised in certain areas.
Some of our translators, who deal with highly specialised areas have followed double University courses: they have dual training - for example an engineer-translator or a doctor-translator or even a lawyer-translator, which ensures that they are particularly skilled 
in a specific area. Nevertheless, a professional technical translator, on top of his
language skills, has specialist technical knowledge stemming from his experience, which will enable him to perfectly translate a highly technical text.

You send us the text/s to be translated in any format by email, as you wish 

-We analyse this text.

-We select the translator/s, and agree a delivery time with you:
urgent, standard, in stages, if necessary, which gives: the QUOTE, to be signed, scanned and sent back to us

-Translators translate the text and we ensure that the work goes according to plan

-We review the final translation, making any necessary changes.

-We then deliver it to you by email, or via any other agreed method (sworn translations are delivered by post or courier).

INTERPRETING

As regulars at major international conferences, the interpreters provided by Tradeo are selected for their expertise in different technical domains, their mobility and their command of different types of interpretation.

SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION

: This service requires the presence of two highly qualified interpreters for each language. Using the equipment described below, they are provided by Tradeo at prices to be set in the service's overall quote if necessary.

The purpose of interpretation is to simultaneously translate the speech in the
target language and/or in both directions between the source and target language.

For conferences that require simultaneous translation into several languages, relays are set up between the interpreters in order to
facilitate the service.

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETATION

: This service only requires the presence of just one highly qualified interpreter.

The interpreter will consecutively translate speech into his/her mother tongue.
While the speaker is speaking, the interpreter takes notes. As soon as
he stops, the interpreter reproduces the entire speech in the target language.
This service is generally reserved for roundtable conferences,
board meetings and bilateral meetings, etc...
